Dyan here. It's almost time for school! Back to recycling and our plans to spread the word! Plenty of work to do to spread the word before we leave OVMS =). OVMS got solar panels! It has to be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen... I almost cried... JK XD. I was so exited my mom almost crashed XD

Dyan here... We haven't had much to do this summer, but soon we might start the making of items for etsy so look out for that. If anyone but ecofuture members read this make sure to recycle your bottles and cans and don't leave the air conditioner on.

Well, it's June and schools almost out.
We got awards last month with some super special awesome shirts. the "Outstanding Recycler Award for Promoting and Implementing an Exceptional Beverage Container recycling Program with Eco Future at Oak Valley School." that sounds cheesy...
Anyway, its from the California Department of Conservation, Division of Recycling. And our official notification paper thingy had the governator's name on it!

ok, it went to(alphabetical order here) Alina, Dyan, Margaret, Ian, moi(Kimberly), Jungwoo, and Sophia. yes, it did not go to everybody, we're trying to fix that.
we also have two new recyclers: shraman and sruthi. i don't think they're on the recycling page yet.
i think that's it.

Hey! Dyan here. Can't believe it's may and school's almost over. So far recycling has about 8000 cans! Some plans we are currently working on are an etsy shop where we will sell some crafts and a public speaking unit that will start nest year. If you have a chance take a look at the cool pic of a sculpture on our home page... its awesome! April Newsletter 2008
Happy Spring Break!
The recycling team has reached 7,000 cans and bottles! Think about it, last month, I said they reached 6,000. That means they found 1,000 in one month!
This is a bit late but how many of you enjoyed Earth Hour? It was on Saturday, March 29th. From 8-9 pm we were encouraged to turn off all our lights to make a statement about global warming.
Earth Day is on April 22nd this year. Please donate all you can to Momo and Alina. They are collecting money for WWF (World Wildlife Fund). They're trying to raise $50 by Earth Day.

Happy late St. Patrick's Day! Would you believe it? Dyan turned down a chance to wear green! Shame, shame, shame...
We are in the newspaper again! Not very noticeable but we're still there. I don't think the link on the site is working so...

I don't think this is on the site but Dyan is not accepting anymore recyclers! If you would still like to join Ecofuture you are very welcome but you can't help recycle. We're already getting all confused and we only have 3 groups.
We're having some trouble with fundraising. Legally, we can't do this unless we are a registered nonprofit group. Of course, if we're a nonprofit group we have to be over 18 and we have to fill out a bunch of forms and signature stuffz. So, if anybody has any ideas how we could find a loophole or something, post it on the site.
And don't forget to fill out the survey. Only 6 people have entered their stuffz.

And so it begins.... March, that is! Yes, March is certainly bound to be a month of excitement... Where we are headed now, no one really knows... well, except for a few of us... But we are headed for big things. Fundraisers and donations are to be coming up soon... Check out the regular site; I updated a few things. And no one has actually sent any questions in yet! I will be more than happy to answer questions or bring the answers to you, but someone has to ask a question first! So I'll be back next month or possibly sooner with more information as soon as I get it... If anyone finds a nice blogskin for the site, please forward it to Kim.

Yes, i know, very long. That's not my fault.
New recycling numbers. We've reached 4224 bottles and cans! They're probably more but that's the number I have right now.
And by the way everybody, HAPPY LATE VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!
Yes, Valentine's Day was yesterday. And now that you've got all those cards that you probably don't want, wat to do with them?
Remember, you can and should recycle cards but don't try recycling stickers, lace, or candy.
Yes, I happen to know that very few people would try recycling candy but it could happen. A better way to save candy is to stuff it all down your brother or sister. IT ACTUALLY WORKS!

We are part way through February, and I believe the recyclers (primarily Bunni and Sunni) have done an awesome job with carrying out their duty to a cleaner planet. If someone could post the new recycling numbers, that would be nice...
Still waiting for Lina to give the thumbs-up for any fundraisers, but I will notify you as soon as I figure this out. In the meanwhile, check out this site for more than a few good ideas on fundraising- http://www.fundraising-ideas.org/DIY/ -from the simple to vastly complex...
By the way, could you guys please use aliases in your posts on either website?
There is a thing called personal security...
And as you may (or probably) know, Ecofuture is going to be featured in the local newspaper! Check it out this Thursday and witness the first of perhaps more public appearances. But please, remember not to ask everyone to "contribute to global warming." (Of course I will never let Bunni live this down...:) ) I'll get a new post up on the main site as soon as I have time..
And a big thanks to anyone who actually clicked on that link from the main page... Your support is appreciated. A lot. So much, I can't express it in these margins. But you have my gratitude, whether or not you are already a member.

Hey Penguins! :D Great job recycling and everything lately! (: Let's continue our great effort and everything!
Recycling: Wow! Dyan, Sophia, Margaret, and Kimberly have been a great help at our school with recycling! They have recycled every school day for the past few months, and already recycled over three thousand cans! They were featured on the school announcements, and also brodcasted in our school's weekly video! :) Great job! [For more information about joining the recycling team, please go to the Recycling section of our website, or email bunni8@gmail.com or ecofuture.info@gmail.com]
Future Events: If you go to our "Plans" section of our website, you will see the goals and events we would like to accomplish soon. We are still working on getting a Green Program for our school, and we're right on track! We also are planning to help spread the word about Global warming and other world events. We are also planning to plant trees at our school or a local park!
